We're Loving | Nell and Romance Was Born

We're loving the newest collaboration by our friends Romance was Born and Nell.

The first drop of the SS12 collection has arrived in Melbourne and we are super keen to snap some up!

You may recall gallery artist Kate Rohde collaborated with the eponymous fashion duo last year for their Renaissance Dinosaur collection? (We blogged about it here.) And before that Del Kathryn Barton.

Renaissance Dinosaur: closing today!

Today is the final day of renaissance dinosaur, our Kate Rohde and Romance Was Born collaborative exhibition.

ABC Arts Online recently sat down with the artists and asked them about their inspiration behind the collection, the collaboration and the connect between art and fashion. Follow the link to see the interviews, Renaissance Dinosaurs Roar.

Whilst we will be sad to see this exhibition go, we are very excited about the next one, Philip Wolfhagen: A Painter's Landscape - opening Wednesday September 22.

The launch of renaissance dinosaur on Wednesday night was fabulous with fun to be had by all!

A big thank you to Kate, the Romance kids (Anna and Luke) and all of you who turned out in your masses to help us celebrate this spectacular collaboration between fashion and art!

Romance Was Born Australian Fashion Week 2010

Kate Rohde has recently been collaborating with the Australian Fashion label Romance was Born for Australian Fashion week in Sydney. Inspiration was drawn from her imagery on fabrics and resin pieces, specifically inspired around recent works that depict dinosaurs.
