Melbourne Art Fair 2012

What a week! Thank you for all those that visited our stand over the course of the Melbourne Art Fair 2012 ; it was great to see some familiar friendly faces as well as new.

In Great Trouble

Fiona Lowry has curated an exhibition entitled 'In Great Trouble', held at Bondi Pavilion Gallery, Bondi Beach, as part of the Waverley artists in residence program.

Artists include:
Angelica Mesiti, Jamie North, Tim Silver, Craig Bender, Julie Fragar, Ben Quilty, Jonathan Jones, Nigel Milsom, Simryn Gill, Fiona Lowry & Shaun Gladwell.

Exhibition opens 28 October 6-9pm and continues until 20 November.

Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prize Finalists


We are very pleased to announce that four of the
Karen Woodbury Gallery artists have been announced as finalists in the prestigious 2011 Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes.

Del Kathryn Barton has been selected as a finalist in the 2011 Archibald Prize with her portrait of Australian actor Cate Blanchett:

Fiona Lowry has also been selected as a finalist in the 2011 Archibald Prize with her portrait of Tim Silver:

Phillip Wolfhagen has been selected as a finalist in the 2011 Wynne Prize and Elisabeth Kruger has been selected as a finalist in the 2011 Sulman Prize. A winner announcement will take place Friday April 15.

McLean Edwards, Rhys Lee, Fiona Lowry Heather B. Swann

Featuring the work of four relatively new artists to the Karen Woodbury Gallery stable, our final exhibition for 2010 will be a showcase of works by McLean Edwards, Rhys Lee, Fiona Lowry and Heather B. Swann. Each of these artists display a poetic tension and curiosity within their work through their paintings, works on paper and sculpture.

Please join us for drinks with the artists to celebrate from 3 - 5pm tomorrow, Saturday November 20.

New Gallery Artists


We are pleased to welcome artistFiona Lowry and  Heather B Swann to Karen Woodbury Gallery.

Fiona and Heather (along with Rhys Lee) will be exhibiting together in a group exhibition at Karen Woodbury Gallery, opening on 17 November.
